Under pressure.
I have a crazy day at work tomorrow with back-to-back-to-back meetings. I do well under pressure, so I am looking forward to successfully tackling the day, even though I am slightly freaking out in my head. I have a feeling I am going to be tossing and turning all night. And I am pretty ticked off that I didn’t go to the gym tonight. I guess I could have gone to the gym, but after all was...

Heat.
It’s October 28th. I live in Texas. I just turned my heat on. I have officially lost my Northeast blood. Ugh.

Barack Obama | Change We Need | Take Election... →
jratlee: i’m going to preface this comment with the facts that this campaign has been probably one of the greatest executions i’ve seen in my lifetime and i’ll certainly be voting for Senator Obama either before or after my work day on nov. 4th. however, the devil is in the details. wouldn’t it have made sense to send this note out at least two weeks in advance (what most businesses require as...

I haven’t been very open about my political views, but I think it is time I expressed my opinion.

Stupidity.
Have you ever had one night that ruins your mood and invades your thoughts for days, weeks? Did something stupid you said you weren’t going to do ever again and felt so much guilt over it? Wondered what the hell is wrong with you and when are you going to grow up? I had that night this week and it is making me wonder where am I going with my life.

It's just a little crush.
Hey cute guy at the gym, with your amazing eyes, perfect 5 o’clock shadow and bronzed skin. I just wanted to let you know that I look forward to working out because I know you will be there every day around 6pm. And while I am huffing and puffing on my elliptical, I can glance down the other side of the gym while you workout on that weird cardio machine that all the guys use, and you...

Missing e-mail.
I drafted an e-mail before I left work today and thought I saved it to my drafts folder. I just logged on to web mail to add something to it (I have OCD and had to do it tonight before I forgot) and it wasn’t in my drafts folder. I checked my sent and deleted items and it’s not there either. It’s officially missing.

Eye candy.
I make a weekly trip to the grocery store, usually Kroger, on Sunday mornings. This is the second week in a row that I have forgotten something in the morning and had to make a run to the Albertson’s on McKinney in the evening. And this is the second week in a row that I have noticed the serious eye candy who apparently pick up their weekly necessities, like bananas, milk, eggs, maybe some...

What to do tomorrow...
If I don’t go somewhere to watch the TX/OU game tomorrow (which isn’t looking promising right now because I currently have no solid plans), drink too much and pass out early, I think I will go to the gym, try to get my haircut and maybe cook something crazy, like cheesecake or lasagna. Or maybe I will go see Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist…by myself…with a large...

Lost.
In an effort to try to find my place in the Big D, I have done nothing but shut myself out. In trying not to rely on the few people I know, I have pushed them aside. I have officially distanced myself from my friends…my best friend. It hurts to think that someone that I care about so much, someone I would truly be lost without, thought that I wasn’t interested in what is going on in...

Best cities for singles. →
Forbes’ rankings are meant to be a guide for young, ambitious singles who, in an age of techno-mobility, can live and work wherever they want. The methodology focuses on career-minded “never-marrieds” under 35. For the first time ever, “Hotlanta” tops the list. Here are the top five: Atlanta San Francisco Dallas (tie) - Woohoo! Minneapolis (tie) Washington, D.C....

Eye update.
I went to the eye doctor this morning. This appointment was long overdue, but unfortunately, she didn’t tell me much more about my twitching eye than I already knew. She did give me some eye exercises to do (weird) and some drops to keep in the fridge (apparently the cold drops may help relax my eye muscles). I also found out that my left eye, the twitching one, has become worse (which has...

Calorie counters.
It’s been about a week since I started going to the gym. And while I am the type of person who is expecting to see some results immediately, I am trying to be patient. I am trying to build up my endurance and get back into the swing of things, since I am am lazy ass and haven’t worked out in months and months, but it’s frustrating. I have found myself looking at the people next...

Erroneous charge.
We use this database service at work. We just recently started using it, so I paid for the first three months and submitted it with my expenses so we could start using it right away, set up a corporate account and then handle payment through submitting invoices to our accounting department. Last week, I think it was Thursday, I received an invoice in the mail from this service. For $15,000! It...

STATE FAIR NEWS
dallastx: assuming that this weekend would be too short of notice for all of you, the only saturdays left are the 11th and the 18th. reblog with your preference & let’s get this going!! : ) kaytee The 11th is the TX/OU game. It’s going to be an F-ing mad house down there so I would recommend we stay away that day. I am not opposed to this weekend, but I think the 12th or the...
