I just realized...
that I couldn’t even finish my pie tonight. And it was coconut cream from Strong’s. What’s wrong with me?! I took it to go and it’s in my fridge. If I didn’t have a raging headache and wasn’t planning on passing out in 2.5 seconds, I would eat it now. Tomorrow…the pie will call to me.

My brain hurts.
My mind is so cluttered with thoughts and filled with emotion right now. Seeing Sex and the City made me think about a few things (Cheesy, I know. Shut up.). Relationships suck, but there is hope things will work out in some way or another. Being single in New York City is SO MUCH MORE acceptable than being single in Dallas. Even though I never lived in New York, I miss it. It’s home. I...

It's the weekend.
Finally! Office closing at 2pm. Warehouse sale at Market Hall at 2:30pm, Sex and the City at 6pm. Tomorrow and Sunday…who knows, but I would like to just lay around, maybe go on a shoe hunt again and possibly lounge by the pool. A drink or two or five would be nice too.
i took your phone number out of my phone today
tumblinas: and saved it in a different place. now if you want to talk you have to call me. I have done this before. And I have always found myself pulling the number out of a drawer and re-entering into my phone. You know the number is there, on a small scrap of paper and it just eats at you. Just keep it in your phone, ignore it, do not call it. You’ll know when you are either ready to...

Movie night!
I just bought advance tickets for the Sex and the City movie for Friday at 6pm. Woo hoo!
Facebook ruined my day.
You can’t hide on Facebook. Everyone knows everything that is going on in your life even if it came from someone else’s wall or photos. And even though what I thought I found out on Facebook about someone today wasn’t true, it lead me to have a shitty day. In short, it’s over. Completely. I have the closure I needed and now I need to ignore those little flicker’s of...

The official start of summer.
I forgot how much I love the summer. BBQ’s, drinks by the pool, the smell of suntan lotion. This is my favorite time of year (although fall in the Northeast is pretty close). Even though it is blazing hot in Texas, I still love the warm weather and can put up with the heat and sweat as long as there is a pool nearby. And although I am miles and miles away from the beach, I am still there in...

Friday. 2:20pm. Back at work.
It’s 2:20pm. We had an office picnic at noon and were supposed to close at 2pm. I am sitting at my desk waiting to hear from Kinko’s about two posters I need printed up for Tuesday. This is bullshit. I want overtime pay.

Off.
I’ve felt off lately. I’m emotional, from one extreme to another. This morning I snapped at co-worker on the phone because I was stressed out. I apologized later because the guilt settled in. And I knew it was unprofessional. I hear certain people speak or a tone in someone’s voice and I want to turn around and just tell them to shut up. I can pretty much tear up at the drop of a...

Summer Fridays.
Yesterday I found out that my office will be giving us summer Fridays. We will close at 2 pm on Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. After almost four years here, we have never had summer days. This is big time. To me, closing at 2pm means more time to either a) lay by the pool or b) attend happy hour.

Goodbye, Michael.
I just found out that my favorite yoga teacher is moving to Washington, DC for the summer and isn’t sure if he will be coming back to Dallas in the fall. Sigh. On a brighter a note, I am totally making progress! I did crow and side crow (side crow with help) today. Even if I only held myself up for 2 seconds, I still did it and it’s pretty empowering.
The other side of the bed.
Last night as I was laying bed, watching TV, getting ready to got to sleep, I realized something. I sleep on one side of the bed. The right side, next to the alarm clock, to be exact. I have a queen size bed, so it is obviously big enough for two, but since I live alone and have no man in my life, I am the only one who sleeps in it (with the exception of Ash or Jess every now and then). So...

Interesting theory from Monday night TV.
I was just watching How I Met Your Mother, which I catch on occasion, and Doogie Howser’s character had this theory that you shouldn’t make plans with someone farther in advance then you have been dating them. The thought behind this is that you will most likely not be together, forget the person’s name, etc. by then. For example, if you are dating someone for a month and you...
Rental car.
I am planning a trip to Napa/Sonoma/SF at the end of July with my friend Ashley. I just booked a Toyota Prius as our rental car and I am pretty stoked. Not only will be riding in (green) style, but since gas in California in July will be well over $4 a gallon, we will be saving some cash too.
Disconnecting Distraction →
cubicle17: Paul Graham talks procrastination-by-distraction: Procrastination feeds on distractions. Most people find it uncomfortable just to sit and do nothing; you avoid work by doing something else. So one way to beat procrastination is to starve it of distractions. But that’s not as straightforward as it sounds […] Sounds familiar…

Shoes.
I went shopping on Saturday and got some pretty good deals at the mall. The one thing I didn’t get that I actually went to the mall for was shoes. I don’t have big feet by any means, but they are slightly wide and I have weird pinky toes, so most shoes that fit normal feet, don’t fit mine very comfortably. I have come to the realization that my feet are jacked up. I used to buy...
Ugh.
I go visit my parents in the Dallas suburbs usually every weekend. It’s an 80 mile round trip, but I usually get good food and random stuff (like new steak knives today) out of it and I do enjoy spending time with my family. Anyway, my aunt calls me this morning and asks if I am going to my parents today and I tell her yes. She asks if I can pick something up from her friend’s house...
