I have no New Year's Eve plans.
The reason: I am “working” pretty early on New Year’s Day. And by working I mean, going to Cowboys Stadium for a walkthrough of the halftime show of the Cotton Bowl. My client is the halftime show sponsor and I will be working at the stadium during the game, so New Year’s Day is my sneak peak.
I am OK with not having New Year’s plans. I think it is an overrated...

Kudos to Home Goods!
For Christmas, my mom bought me two cookie sheets and one brownie pan from Home Goods. When she left the store, the alarm went off and she had to go back in and have her bags checked by the cashier.
She didn’t realize until Christmas Day after opening all of our gifts, that I didn’t open my cookie sheets and brownie pan. She was so upset! She tore apart the house and looked in every...

I have to admit...
I am a big fan of the Snuggie I got for Christmas.
Even though I keep forgetting that I have sleeves on and keep getting up from my couch with a blanket attached to me, it’s pretty darn awesome.
My arms are currently warm as I type this post.

Reading the Signs
Sign that you’ve gotten old: Your parents wait until the morning to stuff your Christmas stocking, because you’re no longer the first person awake.
Sign that you’re an only child: You still get a stocking.
(via joyengel)
SO TRUE! My stocking always has some surprises in it. And my parents always give me scratch-off lottery tickets in my stocking. This year, I won $22.

Three holiday-related things that annoy the crap...
Inflatable lawn decor
Cars with wreaths on the bumper or antlers coming out of the windows
People who think they can make the own parking spaces and cops/mall patrol who let them get away with it.

A friend for Jersey.
I have been thinking a lot about adopting another cat lately. I told myself as soon as I had a bigger place I would get a friend for Jersey. Now that I have been in my condo for almost three months, it’s time to start thinking about it more seriously.
I just checked PetFinder.com and there are just so many cats up for adoption. Of course, I would take them all if I could, but I’d like...

"I get older, they stay the same age."
Every night I go out, this is what I think. Total Dazed and Confused moment. Why am I always attracted to younger men?!

Why I am not a fan of the White Rock Marathon.
Got up early to make a run to Home Depot to pick up paint for my bedroom. The White Rock Marathon just so happened to make it’s way down the street by my house and I didn’t think anything of it until I came back from Home Depot.
There was absolutely no way to get back to my house. After screaming in my car at the top of my lungs (I might have anger issues), I had to park my car 4...

My mom is the hardest person to buy Christmas...
I finished all of my Christmas shopping today…except for my mom. I have a few things for her already, but I am looking for at least one more. She is the hardest person to shop for because when she wants something, she just goes and buys it and when you ask her what she wants, she always says “Nothing.”
I am debating on a few things right now, but I am not sold on any one thing....
I used to say, “I sure hope things will change.” Then I learned that the only...

Holiday Tea at the Dallas Arboretum.
I spent the day with my mom and grandma today. We went to have Holiday Tea at the Dallas Arboretum. It was so nice to spend the day chatting with the ladies and just enjoying time with each other.
I see my parents regularly, but I don’t see my grandma enough, so I really try to enjoy the time I spend with her. It was definitely a great day!

Sold!
I sold eight feather headbands and six feather barrettes today! My friend Ashley’s mom runs the shop at Bent Tree Country Club in Addison/Dallas and she bought them to sell in the shop. I made a cute sign - Funky Feathers by TLC Designs - to display next to the headbands and barrettes. I am so excited and hope it goes well!
So much for an Etsy store…I have a real store selling my...

Goals for my long weekend.
Paint my bathroom.
Check air filters (random, I know).
Go to First Trade Mondays in Canton, TX. The world’s largest outdoor trade days (if not Canton, The Dallas Flea).
Make reservations to take my mom and grandma to holiday tea at the Dallas Arboretum.
Buy tickets to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. In Dallas, not New York City.
Start Christmas shopping!
