I have lived in Dallas for well over three years now. And I really love it here. But I am so sick of the bar scene in Uptown.

When deciding where to go out last night, I wanted to stay as far away from Uptown as possible. The thought of going to a bar and having to shout over everyone just to have a conversation, waiting in line to get in, literally bumping into people just to get to the bar and worst of all, the guys - either preppy douchebags or trendy yuppies - and the dress girls. You know who I am talking about.

I did end up staying far away from Uptown and hit Elbow Room, DoubleWide and Lee Harvey’s. The scene at each bar was a little different, but so diverse and refreshing. It was a good time and I certainly did not miss “the scene.”
