When I go home next month, there are three major things I’m looking forward to (outside of seeing friends and family).  These three things are a good egg & cheese breakfast sandwich, an iced French vanilla coffee from Dunkin Donuts, and a cheese pizza from my favorite local pizza restaurant.  L.A. comes up really short on tasty, greasy mom-and-pop-shop food.

Dallas doesn’t even have a place where you can order an egg & cheese sandwich on a bagel (I add bacon to mine), there some Dunkin’ Donuts, but they are few and far between and nothing, nothing beats a slice of plain. I would add Chinese food to my list too. You can’t get a decent egg roll down here! Ahh, I miss the Northeast.
