What am I thinking?!

My friend, who shall remain nameless because I don’t know if she would be pissed off that I am writing this, signed up for speed dating. I thought she was crazy at first, but now I am thinking, what the hell.

She forwarded me her confirmation e-mail, which had a place for bring a friend, and I just signed up. I filled out the registration, answered all the odd questions and put in my age range preference (24-34, even though any guy over 30 freaks me out, but that is a whooooole other story). I haven’t paid the $49.95 event fee yet. I think I need to give it a day or two to settle in.

I just can’t help thinking that I am paying to meet a man.
