The lust factor.
I sat by the pool on the 4th enjoying sangria, snacks and the gorgeous weather. I also enjoyed the sights - numerous guys in Hawaiian print board shorts with tanned, chiseled bodies. Of course, my eyes go immediately to the blondish haired guy with blue eyes in the red swim trunks at the beer pong table.
When someone asks me what my “type” is, I tend to describe the guy listed above. American as apple pie and baseball, usually knows he is hot stuff and wants nothing to do with relationships. I guess you could say this type of guy has been interested in me before, but they have been in and out of my life faster than you can say “nice abs.”
This type of guy has what I like to call the lust factor, a term that came up during a conversation with my friend Ashley after a few drinks on Friday. He looks like everything you want, you have no courage to talk to him and the chances of him approaching you are slim to none. It breaks your heart when you see him with some other girl and you never even had an interaction with him.
So the next time someone asks me what my type is, I might phrase my response a little differently. I lust after blonde haired, blued eyed guys with nice bodies, but my type is a slightly alternative guy that might be a bit nerdy, may have a tattoo, possibly plays in a band and only goes to the gym on occasion. As far as what he looks like, I have no idea.
What type of guy do you lust after?
(Not to brag, but I did chat with the red shorts guy. We even played football in the pool. I never found out his name though. Way to go me.)
