Last Thursday, I flew out to LAX with Ashley and Brett for Samsung Mobile’s attempt to set the Guinness World Record for “fastest text message sent while skydiving.” Yeah, I have a pretty fun job.
We flew into LAX and our plan was to drive up to Taft, CA, which is just outside Bakersfield. Little did, we know, a huge storm blew through the night before dumping a lot of white stuff up in the moutains and all the way to the Vegas strip. All the major highways to Bakersfield were shut down, cars were backing up on  Interstate 5 and we took a two hour detour only to be threatened to be arrested by a park ranger. About 7 hours later, and we finally pulled into Taft/Bakersfield.
It was an interesting trip, to say the least.
