Online dating oops. And other online dating news…

The first step of communicating with someone on the online dating site I am using is to send multiple choice questions. With these multiple choice questions, you also have the option to write in your own answer.

I received questions over the weekend from someone who I was actually OK with responding to. For the question, “If I had a bad day, what is the first thing you would do for me?”, I decided to write in my own answer. I started to type “It is hard to pick just one thing…yada yada yada.” BUT, I typed just the word “It” and accidentally hit enter, which happened to send my responses to my match.

All that being said, he now thinks that when he has a bad day the first thing I would do for him is “it.” At first I was mortified, but now I think it is pretty freaking hilarious, especially since he requested to communicate via the online dating site’s secure email system.

In other online dating news, I was also matched someone I actually dated! I saw his name and the town where he lives and thought, no way. But…yes, way. Things didn’t end too well with us, but I guess we are still compatible! I think I will be closing that match ASAP.

Good lord, this whole online dating thing is sort of a disaster.
