I’m not done Christmas shopping.
I am almost done, but not quite. Tomorrow, I will finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow. And I will try not to buy (too much) for myself.
Kudos to Home Goods!
For Christmas, my mom bought me two cookie sheets and one brownie pan from Home Goods. When she left the store, the alarm went off and she had to go back in and have her bags checked by the cashier.
She didn’t realize until Christmas Day after opening all of our gifts, that I didn’t open my cookie sheets and brownie pan. She was so upset! She tore apart the house and looked in every closet and cabinet and even opened some of the other presents under the tree looking for them. She finally gave up and apologized for not having them for me.
After finally realizing she must have left them in her cart and then finding the receipt from the store, she decided to go back and explain the situation. She went back yesterday and spoke to the cashier at the returns counter, who called the manager. The manager came to the front of the store with a bag and said, “I was hoping you would come back! I was just about to put these back on the shelf.”
In the bag were the two cookie sheets and brownie pan and stapled to the bag was the receipt from all my mom’s purchases.
I have to say, kudos to Home Goods and their customer service. Now I have two cookie sheets and a brownie pan. Time to start baking!

My mom is the hardest person to buy Christmas presents for.
I finished all of my Christmas shopping today…except for my mom. I have a few things for her already, but I am looking for at least one more. She is the hardest person to shop for because when she wants something, she just goes and buys it and when you ask her what she wants, she always says “Nothing.”
I am debating on a few things right now, but I am not sold on any one thing. Suggestions?

Glee Cast - Last Christmas
890 playsLast minute gifts.
It’s the eve of Christmas Eve and I finished running some errands and picking up last minute necessities this evening after work.
I always seem to think of something better or more appropriate or more funny to get someone on my list a day or so before Christmas and find myself running around looking for it.
Just two more things to wrap, some appetizers to make for Christmas Eve at my parents’ house, a load of laundry to do and I will be complete.
Hopefully…
It’s a great feeling to finish up Christmas shopping. Especially when the weather is cold and it actually feels like the holidays.
It’s a terrible feeling to drop a bag when you are carrying everything up the stairs and hear something break. It’s an even worse feeling when you remember that the store only had one of that item left.
I called the store and the lady who answered didn’t recall “said gift.” I told her where it was, what it looked like and the color. I asked her to hold the last one and hopefully when I go there tomorrow, she will have set it aside for me. Hopefully…
