Dear John (Spoiler Alert)
I tend to cry while watching Grey’s Anatomy or Private Practice. When I need a good cry, I usually watch The Notebook. I cry like a baby every time I watch that movie. I was expecting the same of Dear John. The previews really hyped it up and, don’t get me wrong, it was a tearjerker, but I didn’t ball my eyes out like I thought I would.
There were two scenes that had me blotting my eyes (and cheeks) with a tissue - when Savannah breaks up with John (which you think is her last letter) and when John reads the letter he wrote to his dad, who has a stroke and eventually passes away.
Good movie, but disappointing cry.
Good day. Bad day.
The good: I signed my mortgage loan application today! Six weeks until moving day!
The bad: I got pulled over for going 50 in a 35 and got a $225 ticket. If you can believe it, this was my first speeding ticket ever. I tried to cry my way out of it and it didn’t work. I met my mortgage broker and the first thing I did was cry. What a great first impression. Also, the zipper on my skirt broke and I had to hold it together with binder clips.
Cry baby.
I have been crying a lot lately. Mostly when I have had a few drinks, but more than usual.
It needs to stop. Now.
