Friday Eve…ready for the weekend.

This week has been pretty darn stressful. Things are not going as planned (as if they ever do). I have been exhausted every night. This whole online dating thing is not really what I expected and it is more like online dissing rather than dating. The weather has been humid as hell, which I think adds to being tired. And this season of Glee ended. Boo.

I am so ready for the weekend. Tomorrow night I am going to a Dallas Vigilantes game at the AAC. The box seats and parking pass were free. Bonus! I am spending Saturday with my mom - hitting up the Dallas Flea, seeing Wicked and going to dinner. Saturday night is my friend CB’s birthday. I plan to sit by the pool with a book and my iPod on Sunday.

This weekend is shaping up to be a good one and I am not going to let anything ruin it…at least that is my plan.

I will be working here tomorrow. My job can be pretty cool sometimes. It’s going to be a long day, but it’s going to be fun and I am really looking forward to it. Look for me on the sidelines right before the halftime show!

I have no New Year’s Eve plans.

The reason: I am “working” pretty early on New Year’s Day. And by working I mean, going to Cowboys Stadium for a walkthrough of the halftime show of the Cotton Bowl. My client is the halftime show sponsor and I will be working at the stadium during the game, so New Year’s Day is my sneak peak.

I am OK with not having New Year’s plans. I think it is an overrated holiday and something bad or crazy always seems to happen to me or someone I am with. I make resolutions and I don’t keep them.  I plan to rent some movies and eat some pizza. Maybe drink a glass or two of champagne. Waking up on New Year’s Day without a hangover might be kind of nice.

I sound kind of lame, but whatever.

No matter what happens in the snow-battered Northeast these next two days, the Cowboys own a playoff spot heading into Christmas.

Cowboys beat (previously) undefeated Saints, 24-17.
