Relaxing, movie-filled weekend.
I have three months of free premium movies channels right now and this seemed like the perfect weekend to take advantage of them. So far I have watched:
- - Leap Year
- - The Runaways
- - 500 Days of Summer (which I have seen, but love, so had to watch again)
- - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (saw this too, but can’t get enough Shia and now I am even more excited for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon to come out)
- - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
- - Valentine’s Day
- - The Time Traveler’s Wife (the second half)
I spent Friday night on my couch and part of today parked here too, but I did leave to do some grocery shopping at Sprout’s Farmer’s Market and bought a new Rangers tank top at Academy Sports & Outdoors and did a couple loads of laundry. Tomorrow, I plan to pull up a lounge chair at the pool, read a book and soak up some sun and maybe do a little cleaning around the house. Next week is a shaping up to be pretty busy - lots of work-related meetings and projects, dinner/drinks with my friend Kim, Rangers game…so I am taking full advantage of relaxing this weekend.
Bringing out my inner teenage girl
And watching New Moon with my friend Ashley and then going to see Eclipse. I am way to excited to see this movie you would never believe I am 28 years old.
After watching Transformers and Transformers 2 this weekend, I have a new obsession with Shia LaBeouf. I don’t know what it is about him, but what a hottie.
Random, fun, hilarious, relaxing weekend.
- Friday - Waited in line for 1.5 hours to see “New Moon.” I was, by far, not the oldest person there. And I am not talking about the parents that were there to escort their obnoxious teenage daughters. There were definitely some 30 and 40-something women, decked out in “New Moon” gear, waiting in line with us.
- Saturday - Went to the Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash. It was entirely too crowded and the venue was not easy to get around. I didn’t buy anything. Went to Big Lots, Garden Ridge, WalMart and Ulta and bought Christmas lights, some decorations, eyeliner, nail polish, a scarf and some compartment plates because I hate when my everything on my Thanksgiving dinner plate touches. Went to Elbow Room for pizza and beer, then to the DoubleWide, then to Lee Harvey’s. I had never been to Lee Harvey’s and it was quite the interesting scene. I think it would be more fun on a warm, summer night, but I did enjoy the The King Bucks and their funky country sound.
- Sunday - Lazy day of watching football and napping on the couch. The Cowboys have been playing so shitty lately, the game actually put me to sleep. Made pizza and it didn’t come out that great. Now, I am about to brave the crowds at the grocery store and pick up the ingredients for an apple-pear pie I am making for Thanksgiving.
