I picked up USA Today and The Dallas Morning New today, but this great.
Leaving on a jet plane.
I don’t think words can explain how excited I am that it just so happened to work out that the PR News luncheon is on November 6. In Washington, D.C.!!
I will be boarding a plane tomorrow evening at 7pm. I will be there until Sunday. This will only be my second trip to D.C. and I can’t be happier to be there this week…of all weeks!
My cousin lives in Bethesda and works on Captiol Hill and I am making her drag me to every tourist attraction, monument and museum in the entire city. I only have Friday afternoon, Saturday and part of Sunday (since the luncheon is Thursday and we both have to work on Friday), so we have a lot to see in a little bit of time.
I can’t wait to feel the energy in the city!
Thanks, DailyCandy.
Election Map.
ABC News has an interactive election map on their homepage. I plan on checking this throughout the day.
Vote.
I voted on Friday during my lunch break. This was only the second time I voted (my freshman year of college, I got my absentee ballot too late). It was quite a scene and I felt a little rushed.
But, I feel a sense of pride and patriotism. I will be in D.C. on November 5th and the anticipation is killing me.
Barack Obama | Change We Need | Take Election Day Off
i’m going to preface this comment with the facts that this campaign has been probably one of the greatest executions i’ve seen in my lifetime and i’ll certainly be voting for Senator Obama either before or after my work day on nov. 4th.
however, the devil is in the details.
wouldn’t it have made sense to send this note out at least two weeks in advance (what most businesses require as lead time before putting in a time-off request)? maybe it’s been out there and i’m just seeing this now b/c the campaign e-mailed it to me? regardless, i’m eagerly anticipating casting my vote.
Agreed. I haven’t seen this either and I would have been more than happy to use my 8 hours of PAID volunteer time on November 4th.
10 days left.
I haven’t been very open about my political views, but I think it is time I expressed my opinion.
