My weekend.

My weekend consists of staffing a 24-hours developer camp in San Francisco. Sitting in a conference room for many, many hours. Eating hotel food. Catching up on work. Catching up on TV shows I missed. Catching up on tumblr.

The weather in SF turned from sunny and warm to rainy/damp and chilly overnight, so I am OK with sitting inside for the day. I just hope I can keep my eyes open!

It’s only June and the temperature on my car said 107 degrees today. It was 108 degrees for a brief second, but I was driving and couldn’t snap a picture.

Sirens.

I hate Dallas thunderstorms. I hate the heavy winds and rain that blows horizontally. I hate hearing sirens.

I hate when the cable goes out…like it just did. I hate the hail…which I hear now.

Two years ago, was probably the storm that scared me the most. I live in Dallas at Knox/Henderson and was listening to the radio (because the cable went out) and they were reporting “circular clouds” and “tornado-like activity” at 75/Central and Fitzhugh. I took my cat and went into the closet for about 15 minutes. The sky was green and weird looking and there was some heavy rain, but we had nothing more than a few branches on the streets.

This shit going on right now is pretty crazy though. The sirens are still blaring and the rain/hail is definitely pelting my windows. I am very glad I parked my car (illegally) under the covered parking when I got home.
